1.     Belvedere

Visitors looking for the essence of Viennese sophistication and a sense of architectonical style need to look no further than the Belvedere, one of the city's most prominent landmarks. In the 21st Century, the magnificent Baroque residence continues to turn the heads of passers-by just as it did over three centuries ago.

2.     Vienna State Opera

The Vienna Staatsoper is among the Austrian capital’s most photographed structures, displaying its full grandeur if viewed from the Opernring street. This building has hosted many important premieres over the decades and is a venue welcoming innovative performances and reworked versions of classic operatic pieces. The facade of the 1869 structure is one of the finest examples of Viennese architecture. The horse sculptures by Ernst Julius Hähnel dominating the main entrance are enhanced by five bronze allegoric statues, propped upon pedestals inside the arched loggia.

3.     The United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV)

Located at the Vienna International Centre (VIC), the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) was established on January 1, 1980 and is associated with the office of the Secretary-General in Vienna.

4.     Vienna Chamber Opera

Wiener Kammeroper, or the Vienna Chamber Opera, was founded by conductor Hans Gabor, a post-war expatriate from Hungary. The Kammeroper began in 1948 as the Vienna Opera Studio, a company without a permanent theatre. The name Wiener Kammer Oper, first used in 1953, bears an explicit reference to the genre of chamber music and designates the opera company’s preference for intimate settings and smaller auditoriums.
